Biography

Jennifer Evans joined the Waco Habitat for Humanity staff in 2014 after nearly 5 years on staff at Holiday Retirement as Regional Coach and Enrichment Coordinator for Lakeshore Estates. Since coming to WHFH, she has served as Coordinator of Critical Home Repairs and Liaison for Neighborhood Revitalization. Her career includes serving as an assistant professor of communications studies at several universities across the United States, freelance photographer, and teaching pre-k-12th grade as a substitute teacher for 5 years.

She has been active in a variety of civic and cultural organizations including Habitat for Humanity, Artsfest, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and her local church. Outside of professional interests, she reads, writes, loves performing and all things music, and lawn work. She lives in Waco in a rehabilitated Habitat home with her extended family and dog Mustard Seed.
