Mark Lassman-Eul has assisted U.S. affiliates in the field since 1994. He has worked for Habitat for Humanity International in various roles since 1985, including working in Kenya in a role similar to an affiliate executive director. Currently based in Springfield, MO, Mark enjoys working on family selection, family support, board development and volunteer management issues and has much experience working with new affiliates and with affiliates wanting to grow to a higher level of production. Mark embraces the idea of serving as many families as possible through a variety of community housing solutions.
Mark’s post-collegiate academic work includes a Masters Degree in Adult Education and Training from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, a Certificate of Non-Profit Management from Missouri State University, and most recently a Certificate of Fund-Raising Management from The Fund
Raising School of the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University. He also participated in a Harvard University seminar for nonprofit leaders and teaches in a nonprofit certificate program at a local university. He is currently taking classes on managing federal grants.
A strong proponent of the affiliate tithe, Mark studied in Europe, has spent close to a year in India, lived 2 and a half years in Africa and has traveled to five continents. When not helping to referee board disputes, he referees soccer and volleyball games.
